Nate Schaumberg
Bringing clarity to complex and ambiguous development.
What I Bring
I'm a senior production leader who steps into complex, ambiguous work and creates clarity. I've spent 25+ years bringing large-scale games to market across console, PC, VR, and live service — from Star Wars and BioShock to Tomb Raider and Horizon Worlds.
My value shows up in three ways:
I bring judgment to unclear decisions
Production at scale is about trade-offs you can't fully model in advance. I navigate ambiguity by assessing risk, dependencies, and impact — not just executing a plan, but shaping what the plan should be when the ground shifts.
I stabilize teams under pressure
When deadlines compress or direction changes, teams need someone who can absorb complexity, make hard calls, and keep momentum. I create space for the team to do their work by owning the messy stuff — scope negotiation, dependency management, and keeping leadership aligned on what's real.
I ship at scale
I've led production across AAA console, live service operations, and VR platforms. That means managing certification across 15+ territories, coordinating work across disciplines and time zones, and delivering against commitments when the margin for error is small.

What People Say
I highly recommend Nate Schaumberg for any organization seeking a leader in both VR, PC, and Console platforms. During his time on my team at Meta, Nate consistently demonstrated leadership, leveraging his industry experience to drive clarity, confidence, and execution across every project. Nate excels at managing complex content pipelines and orchestrating cross-functional teams—including design, marketing, engineering, art, and external partners—to deliver high-quality products on time and at scale.
I worked with Nate very closely for just over 3 years at Cloud Chamber. We were tasked with running AI/Gameplay Engineering and all AI/Gameplay Systems & Features development — a monumental undertaking. Nate cares very deeply about his team and their ability to be successful. He is always defending them, attempting to protect them, bringing their problems to leadership's attention, and working to make their on-team lives better. He was a fantastic contribution to the team culturally.
